Putting away the last of the holiday decorations and pulling out my stockpot to make a pot of Gumbo, a family tradition on New Years Eve. Bringing in 2012 with a bang by surrounding myself with family and great food. I hope you are doing the same. Wishing all my family and friends a safe and prosperous New Year!
HOLIDAY GREETINGS!
During the holidays my family and I hung around the house, hanging ornaments, cooking, baking and watching holiday movies. My 2-year-old Nicholas kept himself busy by pulling all the ornaments off the tree. For the past couple of weeks, I gave up riding my Harley Davidson so my wife and I could test out some vegan recipes for our new cookbook. Christmas dinner was non traditional this year. On our Christmas menu was southern fried chicken, succotash, jambalaya and buttermilk biscuits. On the other hand, my wife and children had a vegan friendly version. Gumbo is being served on New Years Eve. Enjoy the holiday season! Bon Appétit, Chef Jeff
